♫ she will only drink coffee with expensive and sugary creamers because she's all about taste and if it doesn't taste good, she's not drinking it.
♫ this girl is obsessed with galaxies and their constellations. she often goes to the park to star-gaze and sketch.
♫ when she was eleven, she taught herself how to play the guitar. her father gave her his old one that he had when he was younger and it is one of her favorite gifts. she has sketched her initials next to his on the neck.
♫ food is her favorite thing and she can be easily persuaded to do mostly anything with a good meal (especially if it involves meat of some kind) or a sweet treat.
♫ she's old-school when it comes to her music collection. having been a true eighties and early nineties kid, she prefers the look, feel and sound of cassettes and, thanks to her grandparents, vinyl as well.
♫ the only man she will listen to is her brother who she holds on the highest pedestal above all. in her eyes, her brother can do no wrong and she will stand by him no matter if he is wrong or right (although she'll be quick to tell him in private if he was wrong) and there is nothing she is not willing to do when it comes to protecting him.
♫ sophia has begun to really take to her volunteer work with ellis, one of the seattle detectives and can be often found out on the streets in downtown with the homeless kids, either handing them backpacks full of food or handing out new clothing
♫ her first house that she bought all on her own is an old Craftsman Bungalow that is nearly over a 100 years old. she's been teaching herself how to fix things in her house.
♫ her best friend Remy installed his own personal security system in her house
♫ ozzie, the hellhound that caught her stealing blood from the hospital last year, is now living with her and sophia sees her as a sister
♫ after the break up with her best friend, sophia gave up nearly a year of sobriety and started drinking heavily.
♫ she has yet to meet her ex-husband who has returned to the city to be with his family and make a better life for himself
in the undergrowth
Sophia was not the sunshine ray of a daughter her parents had hoped she'd be. She was born seven years after her brother and grew up with him in the greater Seattle area. Though she held the same standing in the pack as her elder brother, she had neither the passion or the drive to become more than just the little sister of Nathaniel Wight. She never held any interest for the politics of the pack or what changes were coming and happening around her. There were only three things Sophia was ever into; her brother, her music and space.
School was not the best place for her. As much as she wanted to do good in her studies and please her mother, Sophia often found her mind and body wandering. It was a wonder to everyone how she managed to graduate from each grade to the next with how little she spent in class. She wasn't like her brother who was such a well-behaved boy. Too often the phrase 'wild as a coyote' was said over her head. Where her brother showed restraint, Sophia showed none. Give her the dirt under her paws and the wind in her fur over windows and walls any day.
It wasn't until her desperate mother enrolled her into music class in junior high that Sophia finally found her niche. What some could do with numbers and theories, she did with chords and sound. Music was infinite and apparently could still tame the savage beast.
She never thought it was difficult to hide who she was, being a werewolf. But it was complicated. It wasn't that she was ashamed of what she was but she knew the rules and knew they were there for a reason. There were too many stories about dead wolves. Monsters that were hunted with fire and sharp pointy things. She didn't care about other wolves, especially ones who were so forthcoming about themselves.
Whatever her feelings on the matter, she poured into her music. What she couldn't put into words, she sang. What she couldn't deal with, she drank.
When she graduated high school, she was more than ready to leave the pack behind and try to sort herself out in the real world. She built a band, Blue Suedes, from scratch. Of course, when she found out they were nothing but wanna-be's and drug-addicted a-holes, she dumped them and went searching for a new group to play with. Which is how she met her future ex-husband, Trevor Bishop.
The two of them got a contract together, where she took the stage name 'Carmen Jackson', and produced their first album which produced their first hit single, You Don't Love Me. It was easy to get lost in the 'Hollywood' of it all. The glitz and glam. She was 'normal', all human all the time. And it destroyed her, piece by piece. Her and Trevor made three more albums, each one more successful than the last.
On her twenty-sixth birthday, Trevor proposed.
Six years, a divorce, a miscarriage, two affairs and a whirlwind scandal involving an airplane and a princess later, it was time to put her music career on hold. She went back to her brother. With their father dead, Nathaniel has taken the role of Alpha and become in charge of the pack.
Where he shows leadership, Sophia shows irresponsibility and carelessness. She is not her brother, no matter how hard she aspires to be. It is not in her to be in charge, though she's good at telling people what to do and where to stick it. But she's doing her best to blend back into the pack and help her brother where she can.
And looked down one as far as I could
♫ As a pureblood werewolf, she has an advantage in both strength and speed. Her nose, eyes and ears are sharper than the average human but she dulls them down with alcohol to make it easier to appear more human and blend in. Her emotions often get the best of her, however, and she gets into fights with humans constantly. Though she is much stronger in her wolf form, as a human, she still has the upper hand in a fight and can outdo most men even twice her size. Which doesn't help when she's as small as she is.
♫ Sophia is more concerned with hiding who she is than showing off her animal prowess. She's yet to accept her entire self and this often ends up with her abilities as a werewolf becoming limited and dull. Her abilities are not practiced or as sharp as her brother's. Her vulnerability towards silver has her shunning the metal entirely and freaking out any time its near, though she explains this to anyone as an allergic reaction to both silver and gold.
